So, I always forget to put a bib on Wolfie. Like basically 90% of the time. And as a result, his clothes are constantly getting stained. And I know this and I continue to not put a bib on it. I am really not that bright.
Also – Wolfie seems to have a 6th sense about when I have taken his bib off and spits up all over himself in that moment. He truly has a gift in that regard.
So anyway, I was buying baby stain remover – I got a coupon from my Enfamil coupons – and it worked really well. If you want to use it – it’s here.
But, I ran out and kept forgetting to get it while shopping and then just kind of stopped putting him in the clothes that were stained. Which sucked because they were crazy cute!
Anyway, all Pinterest-high after successfully making Sweet and Sour Cauliflower (coming soon), I decided to set out and make my own. And you guys!!!! IT WORKED SO WELL! Like I can’t even tell where there were stains before. And it was STUPID easy. Here’s what you need…
- 1 tbsp of hydrogen peroxide
- 1 tbsp of Dawn soap (the blog I found this on said it had to be the blue kind, but I don’t know if it would work with any dish soap)
- 2 tbsp of baking soda
And guys, it’s really cheap. Here comes the math (to the delight of my mom!)
Hydrogen Peroxide – $0.06 per tablespoon
Dawn Soap – $0.07 per tablespoon
Baking Soda – $0.06 per two tablespoons
GRAND TOTAL: 19 FREAKING CENTS FOR A QUARTER CUP OF MAGIC! Come on!
Mix in container. Get a toothbrush (or I used a nail scrub brush), scrub it into your clothes. Leave for a couple hours and then do your laundry normally. And voila! You are basically Martha Stewart and your stains are gone forever and ever.
